'Final Destination 5': A Closer Look At Death's Design

The new "Final Destination" hits theaters today and takes audiences on a fifth spin through the horror franchise that finds teens terrorized by Death. This time, the Grim Reaper stalks a group of suspension bridge collapse survivors who manage to escape the disaster with their lives but not for long. The film stars Nicholas D'Agosto, Miles Fisher (who created that hilarious video we shared last week), Emma Bell, Courtney B. Vance, Arlen Escarpeta, Ellen Wroe, Jacqueline MacInnes Wood, David Koechner and everyone's favorite Candyman, Tony Todd. While the reviews start pouring in, get a leg up on the nifty behind-the-scenes footage that Dread Central has queued up for you -- because you're a morbid weirdo -- then hit the jump for more of this week's Horror Bites! Wesley Snipes Talks "Blade" From Jail Between dropping the soap and carving himself a nice shiv, "Blade" star Wesley Snipes currently serving time in prison spoke to IGN about the popular vampire franchise and his thoughts on a sequel. The actor candidly revealed that he thinks the film biz doesn't credit the vamp series with the respect it deserves for contributing to the reinvigoration of the summer blockbuster. But would the Daywalker be up for another movie? "Under the right circumstances, with the right team, yes, I'd do another one. But don't get me wrong; I'm not waiting around for the opportunity. I've got plenty to do, plus an unraveled character in the works who I think will give Blade a helluva run for his money." See you on the other side soon, Snipes. "World War Z" is No Longer "World War Z" Point one for the big bummer department is news that Paramount has abandoned the nibbles of Max Brooks' beloved novel, "World War Z," that zombie fans were expecting to see on the big screen. The studio has decided not to adapt the author's post-war narrative, which is basically what helped separate the story from every generic flesh-muncher tale out there. Instead, Brad Pitt's character United Nations employee Gerry Lane will fight " in a race against time to stop the Zombie pandemic that is toppling armies and governments and threatening to decimate humanity itself," Bloody Disgusting reports. It's also been confirmed that "Lost" star Matthew Fox has officially joined the cast. The film opens December 21, 2012. Ving Rhames Kicks Undead Ass in "Zombie Apocalypse" We'll be seeing Ving Rhames' Deputy Fallon again when "Piranha 3DD" hits theaters this November, but there's another horror project on the actor's horizon that sounds equally entertaining. The "Dawn of the Dead" star will battle the hordes again in "Zombie Apocalypse," and this time he's brought a sledgehammer. The film tackles the familiar plot of survival after the zombie plague hits America. Where are all the survivors this time? Apparently on the island of Catalina, and Rhames fights his way cross-country to join them. Check out this photo gallery of Rhames' latest dance with the undead. "Resident Evil: Retribution" Reunites Fans With Milla Jovovich Need more Milla? Well, you got her because this October she'll start shooting the latest installment in the survival horror franchise, "Resident Evil: Retribution." Hubby Paul W.S. Anderson will be behind the camera (working from his own screenplay) for Jovovich to reprise her role as the action-horror heroine, Alice. She'll be joined by the previously announced Sienna Guillory as Jill Valentine though Bloody-Disgusting reports she's being recast. Popular game character Leon S. Kennedy and S.T.A.R.S. member Barry Burton are also expected to also make an appearance. Check out the carnage on September 14, 2012. Meet "Silent Hill 2's" Red Pyramid in Creepy Teaser Video The fan and studio behind-the-scenes footage for Lionsgate's "Silent Hill 2: Revelation 3D" has been creepy as hell, and this latest video doesn't disappoint. Check out the "Red Pyramid Suit" created by FX designer Paul Jones. Pyramid Head is one the game's most iconic (and demonic) characters who will be making another appearance in the new film. "Revelation" follows Heather Mason, the main character in the third videogame, who heads to Silent Hill to investigate the disappearance of her father after a nightmare begins to haunt her before her 18th birthday. Carrie-Anne Moss, Malcolm McDowell, Adelaide Clemens, Kit Harington, Sean Bean, Radha Mitchell, and Deborah Kara Unger star in the 2012 film.
