Disney reups Maxdome pact
BERLIN -- Disney has extended a VOD deal with broadcaster ProSiebenSat.1 that includes more than 500 titles for its on-demand service Maxdome. The agreement provides Germany's biggest VOD service with all of Disney's theatrical slate, including such high-profile titles as "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides," as well titles from the Mouse House library, and live action and animated series from the Disney Channel and Disney Junior, among them "Hannah Montana," "Wizards of Waverly Place" and "Handy Manny." ProSiebenSat.1's first VOD deal with Disney, inked in 2008, included such titles as "Toy Story 2," "Armageddon," "Pearl Harbor," "Grey's Anatomy" and "Lost." Maxdome boasts more than 35,000 film and TV titles. Contact Ed Meza at staff@variety.com
